Thanksgiving Weekend: Yurts, Trails, and a Shop Small Extravaganza

November 6, 2017

For a unique Thanksgiving, head to the hills!

Local favorite Tennessee Pass Cookhouse and its luxury sleep yurts open for the season on Thanksgiving day. For a unique holiday experience, Nordic ski, or snowshoe a mile through the pines to a candlelit yurt for a gourmet dinner of turkey and the traditional fixings, or elk, trout, or more tasty entrees. Spend the night in a comfortable yurt warmed by a soapstone stove or in other cozy lodging, then check out the area trails.

On Small Business Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, treat yourself to a fun, stress-free day of holiday shopping without the mall crowds. Shop Leadville for unique local gifts—and giveaways just for you!
