International Leadville Pack Burro Race

Burro races are part of the Leadville Boom Days festival, normally held the first weekend of August each year. Team with a burro to run 21- or 15-mile loops into the mining district and mountains east of Leadville. This race is the second leg of the Western Pack Burro Ass-ociation’s Triple Crown.
